Azerbaijan’s defence minister and military leadership pay tribute at Victory Monument

Azerbaijan’s Defence Minister Zakir Hasanov, his deputies and senior officials of the Defence Ministry paid tribute at the Victory Monument on Remembrance Day.

Ministry personnel laid flowers at the memorial stone and honored the memory of the martyrs, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Under a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on December 2, 2020, September 27 is observed annually in Azerbaijan as Remembrance Day to express deep respect for the servicemen and officers who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and gave their lives for the country’s territorial integrity, as well as for all martyrs.
