FM Bayramov completes UNGA week with intensive diplomatic engagements

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov concluded the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York with an intensive schedule of diplomatic engagements, according to a post by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry on X.

During the visit, Bayramov held a series of bilateral meetings, took part in various discussions and signed bilateral documents on behalf of Azerbaijan. The meetings were important for advancing Azerbaijan’s foreign policy priorities and strengthening bilateral partnerships, Caliber.Az reports.

The activities of the Azerbaijani delegation during the high-level week also demonstrated the country’s continued active contribution to the multilateral agenda. Discussions focused on issues including peace, stability, regional and transregional connectivity, as well as the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

As part of the visit, Bayramov held a total of 37 bilateral meetings with counterparts, heads of international organizations and officials from various countries. A total of 17 bilateral documents were signed following the meetings.

The minister also addressed 11 high-level events, including the General Debate of the 81st UN General Assembly session, events held under the Group of 77 & China, the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), the Organization of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC), the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir, sessions on the Trans-Caspian Route and the TRIPP route, a US Chamber of Commerce roundtable, and the World Trade Organization’s reception for global economic leaders.

“Azerbaijan will continue to actively engage with international partners in promoting peace, stability, connectivity and mutually beneficial cooperation,” the Foreign Ministry emphasized.
