Azerbaijani state officials visit Victory Park to pay tribute to martyrs PHOTO

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, Head of the Presidential Administration Samir Nuriyev, Milli Majlis (parliament) Speaker Sahiba Gafarova and other state and government officials visited Victory Park in Baku on September 27, Remembrance Day.

The officials laid flowers at the Victory Monument and paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs with deep respect, Caliber.Az reports, citing state media.

Under an order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on December 2, 2020, September 27 is observed annually in Azerbaijan as Remembrance Day as a mark of deep respect for the soldiers and officers who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and gave their lives for the country’s territorial integrity, as well as for all Azerbaijani martyrs.
