Twenty-four countries plan to buy Bayraktar TB-2 drones

Baykar Makina Technical Director Seljuk Bayraktar has said that the demand for Turkish drones is growing worldwide and 24 countries intend to purchase Bayraktar TB-2. 

"To date, Bayraktar TB-2 has received requests from 24 countries. Orders and export contracts were signed. This number is growing every day. Some of them are from East Asia, some from Europe, so there is demand in different parts of the world. There is also demand for Aknci in four countries. An export contract was signed with them, and there is a serious demand for it," Bayraktar told Aksam newspaper.

Earlier it was reported that Baykar Makina plans to build a factory for the production of drones in Ukraine. Such devices have never been delivered to Russia and, according to the company's representatives, will not be.

Bayraktar TB-2 is an operational and tactical strike UAV with a range of 150 km. It can carry guided weapons and stay in the air for 12 to 24 hours. During its existence, the corporation has cooperated with such countries as Qatar, Poland, Iraq, Ukraine, Libya and Azerbaijan. The latter actively used UAVs during the military conflict with Armenia in Karabakh in 2020. Bayraktar TB-2 is also actively used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
