Envoy condemns Azerbaijani embassy attack in Tehran
Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva has condemned the January 27 deadly attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran.
She made the remarks on her Twitter account on January 27, Caliber.Az reports.
"We strongly condemn any attack on diplomatic missions and call on the host country to comply with the requirements of the Vienna Convention," he said.

Turkish Ambassador Cahit Bagci conveyed his condolences to Azerbaijan over the attack.
"We condemn the treacherous attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran. May Allah rest the soul of our martyr, express our condolences to his loved ones and the Azerbaijani people, and wish speedy healing to the wounded," he tweeted.

At about 8:30 Baku time on January 27, an armed attack was carried out on the Azerbaijani embassy in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The attacker broke through to the security post and killed the head of the security service with a Kalashnikov assault rifle. Two embassy security officers were injured while repelling the attack.
Earlier Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova condemned the attack.
