Azerbaijani army's engineering units undergo training

The Azerbaijani Army's engineering units are conducting combat training courses in accordance with the plan approved by the Defence Minister.

The Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az that according to the plan, engineering units carry out tasks of combat engineer support in difficult operational conditions.

During the exercises with the participation of specialists from other government agencies, the main attention is paid to further improvement of professional level and combat skills of military personnel responsible for engineering support, as well as skills for the effective use of modern engineering equipment adopted in the armament.

Personnel performs practical tasks in detecting and clearing mines and unexploded ordnance, overcoming water obstacles by building pontoon and bridge crossings, opening passages to minefields, overcoming obstacles, etc.

The exercises aimed at improving the combat readiness of personnel of Azerbaijani Army engineering units continue.
