Tajik FM condemns attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Iran

Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin has had a phone talk with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

Muhriddin condemned the armed attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasising the need to punish the perpetrator as soon as possible, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.

The Tajik foreign minister expressed condolences to the family of the head of the embassy's security service killed in the attack and to the entire Azerbaijani people.

He stated that Tajikistan is always ready to support Azerbaijan.

Bayramov expressed gratitude to the minister of friendly Tajikistan for condolences and support.

He stressed the importance of punishing the perpetrator of this perfidious terrorist act, as well as organisers.
