Iranian MFA calls upon Kyiv to provide clarification on presidential aide's statement
The official representative of the Iranian foreign ministry, Nasser Kanani, has called on Ukraine to respond to the vague statement made earlier by the Aide to the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, in which he commented on the recent attacks on various military plants in Iran.
"Kanani condemned the hostile and provocative position [of Podolyak]", the Iranian statement said, adding that the ministry found his statement regarding the attack in Isfahan to be "suspicious", hinting, that Kyiv might have been involved in them.
"The representative of the foreign ministry demanded an official and clear explanation from the Ukrainian side", the ministry's statement noted, as posted on their official Telegram channel.
Caliber.Az recalls, that Podolyak noted in a recent Twitter post that Ukraine had earlier called upon the destruction of Iranian military production plants in order to stop them from supporting Russia's war efforts against Ukraine.
