UEFA qualifications: Armenian provocation foiled in Sweden-Azerbaijan match

An Armenian provocation was foiled in the second round of the UEFA qualification match staged between the national teams of Sweden and Azerbaijan at Friends Arena in Stockholm on March 27.

The match was played as part of the European Football Championship to be held in Germany in 2024, according to Report.

The provocation attempt was made to raise the flag of separatist groups during the game, but the provocation was immediately thwarted by Swedish police.

Despite a minor scuffle, the provocateurs were removed from the stadium.
