Azerbaijani envoy, Bulgarian culture minister discuss expanding cooperation
Bulgarian Culture Minister Nayden Todorov and Azerbaijani Ambassador to the country Huseyn Huseynov have met to discuss the possibilities of expanding bilateral cultural cooperation.
Huseynov pointed out that the cultural dimension is an extremely important element in the relations between the two countries. He underlined the traditionally good interaction, expressing his desire to expand it, according to Bulgarian News Agency.
For his part, Todorov congratulated Huseynov for his active work in promoting Azerbaijani culture in Bulgaria.
The two agreed that culture provides many opportunities for bringing people closer through various forms of art.
In the context of joint efforts to strengthen cultural exchanges, Todorov noted that the current cultural cooperation programme between Bulgaria’s Ministry of Culture and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture expires at the end of 2023 and proposed to draft a new similar programme for the period 2024-2028.
