YouTube removes Armenian plagiarism of Azerbaijani song

The Azerbaijan Intellectual Property Agency has announced that "Yar Galdi Yar" song by Azerbaijani singer Shovkat Alakbarova, presented as an Armenian song, was removed from BehrooZ Abshar YouTube account.

The song performed by Alakbarova was uploaded on September 4, 2016, on the mentioned account under the title "Armenian Music, (Turkish language) Music 15. (rare) Music 17. Shovkat Alakbarova (rare)."

As a result of measures taken by the Intellectual Property Agency, the video has been removed from YouTube. 

The song was recorded on April 16, 1957, under the direction of People's Artist of Azerbaijan, conductor Said Rustamov through the folk instruments orchestra. It is stored in the "Golden Fund" of AzTV under the catalog number 13313. The music for the song was composed by Adil Garay, while the words were written by Ali Karim.
