Türkiye may assist Azerbajani filmmakers financially

Azerbaijani filmmakers can receive financial support from the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye.

Report informs that the head of the Directorate, Erkin Yilmaz, said this at the film forum "Azerbaijani Cinema-125: Reality, Challenges and Goals" in Baku on April 21.

According to him, a prerequisite for such assistance is that 50% of the allocated budget should be spent on cinemas in Türkiye.

Yilmaz noted that in recent years, Türkiye has allowed a large number of international projects to be implemented in the country.

“Last year, 200 international projects were implemented in the country. Currently, 150 films are produced annually in Türkiye. The film-related law adopted in our country in 2004 contributed to the development of this area. The state allocated funds for 293 projects last year,” he said.
