One of the world's leading technology companies, Roketsan, will shortly carry out fire tests of the CENK and TAYFUN ballistic missiles.

Currently, the longest-range missile in service with the Turkish Armed Forces is known as the BORA ballistic missile, with a range of over 280 kilometres. The TAYFUN missile, which has recently had its first test launch, has almost twice f BORA's range. The CENK ballistic missile, which will culminate in its first test launch this year, will be Türkiye's longest-range ballistic missile so far.
Rocket engines and propellants, which are the most important components of ballistic missiles, were completely developed by Roketsan engineers using domestic funds. Thanks to its know-how, Roketsan is able to develop munitions with such a long-range without falling into the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR).
The CENK missile, on the other hand, will probably reach a range of 3,000 km. It will be tested for the first time.
To recall, in the last test, the TAYFUN ballistic missile hit a target at a distance of 561 km.
