A fire erupted in a 12-storey hotel in the Alanya district of Antalya, Türkiye, on the evening of January 27.
The blaze broke out on the ground floor of the building, which was undergoing renovations at the time, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
Firefighters were quickly dispatched to the scene, where they launched an urgent rescue operation to evacuate workers who were still trapped on the upper floors. Emergency medical teams and police officers have also been deployed to assist with the operation and ensure the safety of those affected.
As of now, there have been no official reports on the cause of the fire or any casualties. Local authorities are working to contain the fire and assess the extent of the damage. The situation remains ongoing, with rescue and firefighting efforts continuing into the night.

Of the 238 guests staying at the hotel that night, 79 lost their lives and 51 sustained injuries. Some individuals attempted to escape by jumping out of windows in desperation. The disaster left a profound impact across the nation.
