Azerbaijani delegation attends second session of UN Human Settlements Programme Assembly

An Azerbaijani delegation led by chairperson of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev is attending the second session of the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Assembly in its headquarters in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.

According to Report, the central theme of the agenda of the second session of the Assembly, which will be held from June 5 to 9, is "A sustainable urban future through inclusive and effective multilateralism: achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in times of global crises".

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities. UN-Habitat is the focal point for all urbanization and human settlement matters within the UN system.
