200 Ukrainian servicemen complete training in Spain
The Spanish Ministry of Defense has said that nearly 200 Ukrainian troops have completed their training at Toledo Infantry Academy in Spain.
The troops completed a five-week basic training course at the Toledo Infantry Academy as part of the European Union Mission for Military Assistance in Support of Ukraine (EUMAM), the ministry said in a press release on April 3, according to The New Voice of Ukraine.
On April 3, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles and the Chief of Defense Staff, Admiral General Teodoro Lopez Calderon, handed over training completion diplomas to the Ukrainian soldiers.
As of April 3, more than 600 Ukrainian soldiers have finished their military training in Spain.
This was the third batch of Ukrainian service members trained by the Spanish Armed Forces since November 2022. Spain previously said it can train 2,000 Ukrainian troops a year.
