Speaker meets Czech-Azerbaijani interparliamentary friendship group members PHOTO

As part of her official visit to the Czech Republic, Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova met with members of the Czech-Azerbaijani interparliamentary friendship group.

The Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament informed Czech parliamentarians about the current situation in the region, and Azerbaijan’s initiatives to normalize relations with Armenia and sign a peace treaty, the parliamentary press service told Caliber.Az.

The head of the working group on Czech-Azerbaijani interparliamentary relations of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, Jan Kubik, shared his memories from his trip to Azerbaijan, including the liberated Agdam District, and the meetings he had. The parliamentarian noted the importance of conveying reliable information about Azerbaijan to the public, intensifying relations between the parliaments of countries and mutual visits.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
