Azerbaijan hosts further Power of Unity-2026 military drills

Military personnel from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Türkiye have conducted further practical drills as part of the ongoing Power of Unity-2026 joint military exercises to improve personnel capabilities, coordination and command and control between units.

The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry said the drills included covert movement under fire support and operations in various terrain using armoured vehicles, Caliber.Az reports.

The exercises are aimed at improving the professionalism of personnel, enhancing the readiness of servicemen from participating countries to conduct coordinated operations in various conditions, and strengthening interoperability.

The three-stage exercises are taking place at the Gizilgaya Training Centre in the Azerbaijani Army’s Karabakh Economic Region, the Karabaghlar Training Centre in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Boyuk Zira training area in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
