The DITA wheeled self-propelled howitzer has a calibre of 155 mm and an L45 cannon, capable of engaging targets up to 39 km away with fragmentation projectiles. The machine has a rate of fire of six rounds per minute at the start and five rounds per minute in continuous mode. The gun can operate in fully automatic guidance mode. The gun can be rotated to an elevation angle of -3°/70° and rotated ±60°. The ammunition capacity is 40 rounds. Auxiliary armament is machine guns of 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm calibre.
The DITA supports a variety of firing modes, including multi-round simultaneous strike on a single target. To protect the crew, the howitzer cabin is armoured and equipped with a high-performance heating and air-conditioning system and a nuclear, biological and chemical (OCB) filtration system. The cabin provides STANAG 4569 Level I passenger protection.
The chassis of the vehicle is manufactured by Tatra. The maximum speed is 90 km/h on the road and up to 25 km/h off-road, allowing for quick position changes during high-intensity combat operations.
The Czech artillery mount has an advanced control system, which also contains diagnostics, navigation and automatic gun guidance. Everything should allow you to arrive at the position, carry out the combat mission and move on. The gun is controlled by the M4 system, which displays the status of the gun and the chassis. Thanks to the high level of automation, two crew members are enough to control the Dita gun mount.
