American committee condemns Iran’s drone strikes on Azerbaijan, pledges solidarity “We stand with Azerbaijan”
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has condemned Iran’s drone attacks on Azerbaijan, expressing strong support for the country, in a statement posted on social media.
“We stand with Azerbaijan - great allies of America and Israel - as it confronts this Iranian attack,” the statement read.

On March 5, drones launched from Iranian territory struck targets in Nakhchivan. One hit the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, while another fell near a school in the village of Shakarabad. Four civilians were injured in the airport strike. Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Azerbaijan stated that it reserves the right to retaliate.
