Air Astana to resume Dubai flights from June 20 via Pakistan route
Kazakhstan's Air Astana will resume regular flights to Dubai from Almaty on June 20 and from Astana on July 10, the airline said, as it gradually restores services suspended amid security concerns in the Middle East.
The carrier said flights would operate via Pakistan following the closure of Iranian airspace, allowing it to maintain safe and reliable connections between Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
Air Astana plans to increase flight frequencies in stages. Services from Almaty will initially operate twice weekly before rising to daily flights by July 6. Flights from Astana will restart with three weekly services from July 10 and reach daily operations by August 3.
Passengers whose tickets were previously rebooked for departures up to July 31 will be allowed to move their travel dates to earlier flights free of charge, the airline said.
The carrier added that it continues to monitor developments in the Middle East and may adjust its schedule if necessary, with passengers to be notified promptly of any changes.
Air links between Kazakhstan and Dubai had been temporarily suspended until May 31 due to the ongoing security situation in the region.
