Albania underscores warm relations with Azerbaijan in presidential message

Albanian President Bajram Begaj has extended congratulations to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the country’s National Day, reaffirming the strong ties between the two nations.

In a congratulatory letter, Begaj conveyed his warmest and most sincere congratulations to President Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people, while expressing his “best wishes for continued peace, well-being, and prosperity.”

The Albanian president emphasised that Albania highly values its friendship with Azerbaijan and the steadily expanding partnership between the two countries. 

“Our relations, grounded in mutual respect and shared interests, have seen continuous development, reflecting our common commitment to further strengthening our ties,” he noted.

Begaj also praised Aliyev’s role in advancing ties between the two nations, stating that he wished “to commend Your Excellency’s personal commitment and leadership, which have played an important role in deepening this partnership.”

Expressing confidence in the future of bilateral relations, the Albanian leader said that, under Aliyev’s leadership, “the friendship between Albania and Azerbaijan will continue to consolidate, opening new avenues for cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including energy, tourism, and infrastructure, for the benefit of our peoples.”

The letter concluded with Begaj extending his best wishes to President Aliyev and his family, while reaffirming his highest consideration and optimism for the continued development of cooperation between Albania and Azerbaijan.
