Altyn Kyran 2024: Joint tactical exercises commence in Dzungarian Alatau
The "Altyn Kyran 2024" ("Golden Eagle 2024") joint tactical and specialized exercises have officially commenced, featuring military personnel from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the rugged terrain of the Dzungarian Alatau mountains.
The exercises kicked off with participants undertaking reconnaissance missions in challenging mountainous conditions.
On the first day, the focus was on training and methodology, including the use of mountaineering equipment, climbing and descending steep cliffs, providing first aid at high altitudes, and evacuating the injured.
The primary aim of these exercises is to refine tactical skills, enhance combat readiness, and improve the overall effectiveness of the participating units.
The overarching goals of the "Altyn Kyran 2024" exercises are to enhance the tactical skills of the servicemen, boost the combat effectiveness of the units, and foster better interoperability between Azerbaijani and Kazakhstani forces.
