Ambassador: Azerbaijan-Romania relations developing and constantly expanding PHOTO
An event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Romania was held.
The delegation headed by the Romanian Minister of Energy, Romanian co-chair of the Joint Commission for Trade, Economic Ties, and Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Romania Virgil-Daniel Popescu took part in the event, Report says.
Labour and Social Protection Minister Sahil Babayev, Co-Chairman of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Romania, stressed that Azerbaijani-Romanian relations have been steadily developing for the last 30 years.
He stressed the special role of the Joint Declaration on the establishment of a strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Romania in 2009 and the Joint Action Plan on the implementation of the strategic partnership signed in 2011 for the development of relations.
Babayev said that 61 documents were signed during the past period between Azerbaijan and Romania and a number of draft documents on cooperation are currently being prepared and considered.
Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasile Soare spoke about the development and constant expansion of relations between the two countries.
At the end of the event held at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall, the Gara Garayev State Chamber Orchestra presented a concert program consisting of works by Azerbaijani and Romanian composers.
