Ambassador slams Tagesspiegel for publishing anti-Azerbaijani article
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Germany Nasimi Agayev has criticized the German newspaper Tagesspiegel for publishing an article against Azerbaijan authored by former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
"Why did Tagesspiegel publish a critical article against Azerbaijan written by Armenian lobbyist Anders Fogh Rasmussen? He receives up to 499,000 euros a year from the Armenian government. However, Tagesspiegel presents him simply as a former NATO Secretary General... We see this as a blatant attempt to mislead the German public and discredit Azerbaijan," Caliber.Az reports via a tweet by the diplomat.
Why has @Tagesspiegel published a hit piece against #Azerbaijan, written by a paid Armenia lobbyist @AndersFoghR? He receives up to €499,000 per annum from Gov. of Armenia. Yet Tagesspiegel presents him just as a former NATO SG. 1/4 pic.twitter.com/2P5F0KbUJh
