Ankara monitors case against Israel over Gaza genocide
Ankara is closely following the case at the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague on South Africa's lawsuit against Israel, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Oncu Keceli said.
"We are extremely concerned by information that war crimes committed by Israel may have reached the level of genocide and are closely following the hearings at the International Court of Justice on Israel's violations of the 1948 Genocide Convention," the spokesman wrote, according to Anadolu.
"The Israeli occupation, expansionist mentality and Israeli actions that completely disregard human rights, international law and moral principles are the true cause of the catastrophic situation in Gaza," the diplomat stressed.
According to him, the efforts of the Israeli authorities to "divert attention from the atrocities they are committing will not yield any result".
