Ankara: Türkiye always stands by Azerbaijan

Turkish National Defence Minister Hulusi Akar has said that his country, as always, stands by Azerbaijan.

He made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, Caliber.Az reports citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry press service.

Hasanov informed Akar in detail about the operational situation that arose after the decisive measures taken by the Azerbaijani Army against the latest provocations by the Armenian Armed Forces, as well as about the work carried out in the field of army construction.

Akar emphasised that today Türkiye as always, supports Azerbaijan and is always on its side.

During the telephone conversation, the sides also exchanged views on the prospects of Azerbaijani-Turkish military cooperation.
