António Costa pays tribute to Azerbaijani heroes during Baku visit photo

António Costa, President of the European Council, visited the Alley of Martyrs during his official trip to Azerbaijan.

While at the memorial complex in Baku, Costa paid tribute to Azerbaijani heroes who lost their lives in the struggle for the country’s independence and territorial integrity, as per local media reports.

He laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame Monument in honour of those who sacrificed their lives.

During the visit, the President of the European Council was also shown a panoramic view of Baku and received a briefing on the history of the Alley of Martyrs as well as on the city’s redevelopment projects.
