Armenia launches criminal investigation over threats to PM Pashinyan
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a criminal case after a video circulating on social media and a pro-government media outlet showed masked individuals armed with automatic weapons issuing threats against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the Investigative Committee, unknown individuals allegedly gained access to restricted information within a computer network and, acting out of what it described as hooligan motives, distributed a video containing threats to kill the prime minister in connection with his official duties, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
A criminal investigation has been launched on charges including preparation of murder, computer sabotage, and illegal arms trafficking. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
