Armenia must not delay providing minefield maps, Azerbaijani ombudsman tells PACE chief
Azerbaijan’s Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva met with the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Despina Chatzivasiliou.
The meeting took place as part of Aliyeva’s visit to Strasbourg, France, on September 27, Report informs, citing the Ombudsman’s Office.
Aliyeva raised the issue of providing accurately compiled minefield maps by the Armenian side to Azerbaijan.
The ombudsman spoke about the human rights violations that Azerbaijan suffers from and underlined the essentiality of quickly and completely clearing the liberated territories of landmines.
Aliyeva added that international organizations were already informed in a separate report about the necessity of providing minefield maps by Armenia.
