Armenia once again shells Azerbaijani army positions in Gadabay, tries to entrench in Aghdam

The Armenian Armed Forces units have opened fire at Azerbaijani army positions in the Gadabay and Aghdam directions.

“On September 14 at 19:35 Armenian armed forces' units from their positions in Chambarak district fired several times from small arms at Azerbaijani army positions located in the direction of Zamanli settlement of the Gadabay district,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

The Azerbaijani army units took retaliatory measures in the mentioned direction.

Additionally, from 19:05 to 19:25 illegal Armenian armed formations in the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed, made an attempt to dig new trench roads in order to approach the positions of the Azerbaijani army located in the Aghdam district.

As a result of urgent measures taken by Azerbaijani army units, the work was immediately suspended, the ministry added.
