Armenia renews shelling of Azerbaijani Army positions in Nakhchivan Prompting retaliatory measures
On August 28, the Armenian armed forces renewed their shelling of Azerbaijani Army positions in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The attack took place around 18:30, with Armenian units firing from positions near the Sultanbay settlement in the Pashali region, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
The targeted Azerbaijani positions were located near the Shada settlement in the Shahbuz region of Nakhchivan. In response, Azerbaijani forces swiftly and effectively carried out retaliatory measures against the source of the assault.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence issued a statement confirming the action, stating, "Azerbaijan Army Units took adequate retaliatory measures in the mentioned direction."
This incident follows a similar one earlier on the same day when Armenian forces, stationed near the Arazdeyen settlement in the Davali region, used small arms to fire upon Azerbaijani positions in the direction of Heydarabad in the Sadarak region of Nakhchivan.
