Armenia's Emergency Situations Ministry stops functioning
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia has announced that it will stop its activities starting on June 30 of this year.
“According to the law of Armenia 'On Amendments and Additions to the Law On the Structure and Activities of the Government', adopted on December 16, 2022, the Ministry of Internal Affairs was created, which also includes the functions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations,” the ministry's statement reads, according to TASS.
Questions, proposals, statements, and letters related to the areas of activity of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, if necessary, should be sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs by e-mail, as well as through a single platform for electronic requests, the report says.
The Interior Ministry of Armenia was re-established at the end of 2022. The Armenian Rescue Service was included in its structure.
