Armenia shells Azerbaijani Army positions in Nakhchivan

The Armenian armed forces fired upon Azerbaijan Army positions in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, according to official report.

"On September 4, at about 19:35, the Armenian armed forces units using small arms subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of Ordubad region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic," Caliber.Az quotes the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry as saying.

In response to the attack, the Azerbaijan Army took swift retaliatory action. "Azerbaijan Army units took adequate retaliatory measures in the mentioned direction," the Ministry added, underscoring the military's readiness to defend its positions.
