Armenia to establish interior ministry, foreign intelligence agency
02 November 2022 13:08
Armenia will form an interior ministry and a foreign intelligence agency in 2023.
As Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced this during a parliamentary hearing on the state budget for 2023.
"The necessary judicial projects will be accepted by the government and the national assembly in the near future. I count on their support", he said.
The foreign intelligence agency will not operate as an ordinary power structure, according to Pashinyan. Their work will be highly confidential, otherwise the agency will lose its relevance. He has called upon the public and his parliamentary members to be considerate regarding this special trait of the agency.
