Armenia won't be able to deceive world, says Azerbaijani rep to NATO
Armenia will not be able to deceive the world community about the situation on the Lachin road.
The statement came from Jafar Huseynzade, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to NATO, Report informs.
He stressed that Armenia's claims about the blockage of the Lachin road are false, and added that they have no proof of this.
The peaceful protest action by Azerbaijani eco-activists on the Khankendi-Lachin road, demanding an end to the looting of the mineral deposits in Karabakh, has been going on for 51 days.
Volunteers and activists taking part in the demonstrations, providing safe movement of vehicles in both directions, chant slogans: “Azerbaijan is the owner of its mineral resources!”, “End to environmental crimes!”, “Stop eco-terror!”, “Protect nature!”, “No ecocide! Yes to monitoring!
Following the talks with the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent on December 3 and 7, 2022, a delegation consisting of specialists from the ministries of economy, and ecology and natural resources, the State Committee on Property Issues and the gold mining company AzerGold was to conduct preliminary monitoring of the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits on the territory of Azerbaijan, where peacekeepers are temporarily deployed, as well as related environmental and other problems. However, due to the peacekeepers’ inactivity, the monitoring did not take place.
