Armenian daily: Pashinyan ordered crackdown on protests

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has issued a strict order to the Interior Ministry to suppress protests organised by the Garabagh clan, Yerevan-based "Hraparak" daily writes, according to Caliber.Az.

"Although news circulated all day yesterday that the government intends to impose a curfew to defuse the situation in the country, our government sources assured us that there was no such discussion, at least until now. Moreover, the Civil Contract Party has no doubt that the 'Garabagh movement' will be suppressed in a few days, as Nikol Pashinyan has given a strict order to Interior Minister Vahe Ghazaryan to suppress riots in the harshest way," the newspaper says.
