Armenian forces continue shelling Azerbaijani Army positions contrary to PM Pashinyan's directive
On March 19, from 19:00 to 19:10, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions located in the direction of Arpa settlement of Keshishkand region using small arms periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
Even though Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan issued a directive to his country’s Ministry of Defence, instructing them not to violate the ceasefire regime in place, Armenian armed forces keep shelling Azerbaijani Army positions from various directions.
On March 19, the prime minister emphasized Armenia's commitment to peace and reiterated that the draft peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan was awaiting finalization. “The draft peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been agreed and is waiting to be signed. My clear instruction to the Ministry of Defence is not to violate the ceasefire. Armenia is moving towards peace, not war,” Pashinyan wrote.
Notably, Armenian armed forces have been intermittently shelling Azerbaijani Army positions since March 16.
