Armenian forces launch heavy fire on Azerbaijan army positions, violating ceasefire
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence reported another violation of the ceasefire by the Armenian armed forces on April 7.
Thus, from the evening of April 6 to 04:30 on April 7, units of the Armenian armed forces launched intense gunfire against Azerbaijan Army positions, targeting several locations across the region, Caliber.Az reports per the Defence Ministry.
The attacks came from positions in Gorus, Garakilsa, Basarkechar, Keshishkand, Tovuzgala, and Chambarak, with small arms used intermittently,
In response, the Azerbaijan Army forces took swift and appropriate retaliatory actions to defend their positions in the affected areas.
The ongoing tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan have been marked by a series of incidents along the conditional border. These incidents often involve ceasefire violations between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces.
In recent months, Armenian military units have been accused of intermittently firing at Azerbaijani Army positions, with small arms being the primary weapon used. These attacks have been reported in various locations, including the Istisu settlement in the Keshishkand region and the Bazarchay settlement in the Garakilsa region.
