Armenian forces periodically shell Azerbaijani Army positions overnight
Armenian armed forces have escalated their attacks on Azerbaijani Army positions in multiple border regions, continuing intermittent gunfire over two consecutive days.
Between 22:15 on March 17 and 00:20 on March 18, Armenian military units opened fire on Azerbaijani positions from their posts in the directions of Arpa in the Keshishkend region, Saybali in the Garakilsa region, and Vahan in the Chambarak region, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence.
Prior to this incident, between 17:25 and 21:45 on March 17, Azerbaijani positions were also targeted by Armenian forces. These attacks originated from Armenian positions near Saybali in the Qarakilsa region, Vahan in the Chambarak region, and the Istisu settlement in the Basarkechar region.
Earlier on March 17, intermittent gunfire was reported from Armenian military positions toward Azerbaijani Army posts between 01:25 AM and 12:55 PM. These attacks were launched from positions in Yukhari Zaghali in the Basarkechar district and Digh in the Gorus district.
The latest wave of hostilities follows a series of Armenian attacks on March 16. The first recorded incident occurred at approximately 09:45 AM, when Armenian units stationed near the Digh settlement fired upon Azerbaijani positions. This was followed by another attack at around 18:35, as Armenian forces near the Khazinavar settlement again opened fire. A third attack took place between 20:10 and 20:45, with Armenian units from the Burun settlement targeting Azerbaijani positions.
