Armenian, Georgian officials discuss strategic partnership, regional cooperation
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is on an official visit to Georgia, met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to discuss the strengthening of bilateral ties.
During the talks, the officials focused on enhancing the strategic partnership between Armenia and Georgia, including deepening political dialogue, expanding economic cooperation, and improving regional connectivity. Both sides highlighted the importance of leveraging the transit potential of their countries to boost trade and business collaboration, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
Mirzoyan briefed his Georgian counterpart on agreements reached in Washington on August 8, which aim to unblock regional communication channels and create new opportunities for economic and political engagement.
The Armenian foreign minister also expressed appreciation for Georgia's support for the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The discussions additionally covered broader international developments and issues of mutual interest.
