Armenian people fully support peace agenda, deputy FM says
Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan has said that the Armenian people fully support the peace agenda.
Kostanyan made the remarks as he spoke to Azerbaijani journalists, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Commenting on the parliamentary elections scheduled for June, he noted that these will essentially be the first elections in Armenia to take place under conditions of peace.
“And I believe that the people of Armenia fully support the peace agenda,” he said.
Kostanyan also stated that the peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan has already been agreed, adding that the Armenian side will continue working with Azerbaijani counterparts on its signing and final ratification.
Armenia is currently focused on defining a financing model and establishing a TRIPP company that is expected to be registered in the country, with work progressing actively.
“Simultaneously, together with our American colleagues, we are conducting a feasibility study of possible routes through which various transport and energy connectivity lines may pass,” the deputy minister said.
