Armenian premier arrives in Russia's St. Petersburg
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan arrived on a two-day visit to Russia.
In St. Petersburg, Pashinyan will take part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December 25, and on December 26 - in an informal CIS summit, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers.
The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will summarize the results of Russia's presidency in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Moscow has occupied this post since January 1, 2023. In 2022, Kyrgyzstan chaired the union, and next year Armenia will take over the presidency.
The Eurasian Economic Union is an international integration economic association operating since January 1, 2015. The members of the union are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
