Armenian speaker announces planned meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart in Istanbul

Armenian parliamentary speaker Alen Simonyan has announced plans to hold talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart during a visit to Istanbul later this week, as regional lawmakers gather for a major international forum.

A delegation led by Simonyan will travel to Türkiye between 16 and 19 April to take part in the 152nd session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.

Speaking at a briefing, Simonyan said meetings are scheduled on the sidelines of the visit with the speakers of the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
