Armenian writer: Media should help strengthen peace between Baku, Yerevan
At a press conference following the fourth meeting of civil society representatives from Azerbaijan and Armenia under the "Peace of Bridge" initiative, Armenian writer and cultural anthropologist Lusine Kharatyan emphasised the critical role of the media in the peace process between the two nations.
Kharatyan stated that one of the most important contributions the media can make is to create new narratives that avoid the dehumanisation of societies on either side, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
"I think one of the most important things the media can do is create new narratives where there is no dehumanisation of the other side," she said, underlining that such an approach would foster greater trust and help solidify the peace efforts underway.
