At meeting with Czech colleague, Azerbaijani Speaker echoes Baku’s zest for peace with Yerevan
Azerbaijan is ready for peace with Armenia. Today there are no obstacles to signing a peace treaty.
Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament) Sahiba Gafarova, who is on an official visit to the Czech Republic, announced this at a meeting with President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Marketa Pekarova Adamova, Report informs.
She noted that despite the occupation of its territories, Azerbaijan made considerable efforts to ensure long-term peace in the region, offering Armenia to sign a peace treaty based on 5 principles of international law in 2020 after the 44-day Patriotic War.
President of the Chamber of Deputies Marketa Pekarova Adamova expressed the support of the Czech Republic to the peace negotiations and stated the importance of establishing a stable peace in the region.
