Azerbaijan accelerates defence industry modernisation, official says

Azerbaijan is undertaking large-scale modernisation of its defence industry to meet the growing needs of its armed forces, Defence Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev said during an event celebrating the professional holiday of the ministry’s employees and the 20th anniversary of its founding.

Minister Mustafayev highlighted that production facilities are being upgraded, while digitalisation and automation levels are being increased across defence enterprises, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

He added that the expansion of production capabilities ensures timely delivery of military equipment and strengthens Azerbaijan’s export potential.
