Azerbaijan adopts framework for Global South NGO Platform

A framework document outlining the institutional structure and operational mechanisms of the Global South NGO Platform has been formally adopted in Baku.

The decision was taken during a session of the Platform’s General Assembly held in the Azerbaijani capital, domestic media said.

Participants at the meeting noted the successful completion of work on the framework document, which was approved by member organisations and formally adopted as the primary regulatory act governing the platform’s structure and activities.

The document defines the platform’s governance framework and operational procedures, establishing the foundation for its institutional functioning.

It also confirms the election and appointment of the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General. Both officials are set to officially assume their duties in line with the established regulations.
