Azerbaijan Air Force aviation units conduct training flights VIDEO
Under the 2026 Training Plan approved by the Minister of Defence, aviation units of the Azerbaijan Air Force conducted a series of training flights aimed at enhancing the combat readiness and professional skills of flight crews.
Prior to the commencement of flight operations, personnel underwent mandatory pre-flight procedures, including medical checks to assess the health condition of pilots, detailed safety briefings, and comprehensive technical inspections of all aircraft, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
The training sorties involved a range of platforms, including JF-17C Block III, Su-25ML, Su-25, and Aero L-39 Albatros aircraft. These flights formed part of a structured programme designed to improve operational proficiency across different mission profiles.
During the exercise, pilots carried out both individual and group sorties, focusing on airspace coordination, execution of simulated combat missions, and tactical manoeuvres. Particular attention was given to target detection and engagement procedures, as well as decision-making under complex operational scenarios.
The training also emphasised the effective use of aviation assets under varying meteorological and tactical conditions, with the goal of further strengthening the combat employment capabilities of the Air Force.
