Azerbaijan and UN discuss future cooperation at high-level meeting
Anar Alakbarov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, met with Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office in Geneva.
During the meeting, they discussed potential future cooperation between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the UN, focusing on joint projects for COP29, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Both parties expressed optimism that the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), to be hosted by Azerbaijan this year, would yield fruitful results in addressing global environmental challenges. They emphasized that the event would be a significant step towards strengthening solidarity for a green, fair, inclusive, and sustainable world, ensuring positive outcomes for the planet's future.
Additionally, Valovaya toured the Heydar Aliyev Center to explore its exhibitions.
